Apply for Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) Vouchers

If you’ve been impacted by a crisis or emergency situation and are having difficulty paying your electricity or gas bill, the Energy Accounts Payment Assistance (EAPA) Scheme may be able to help. WHO CAN GET EAPA? If you are in financial hardship due to a crisis or emergency situation you can apply for EAPA voucher assistance. This hardship may be caused by a range or combination of factors, including: •  Loss of income •  Very high electricity/gas bill •  Illness in the family •  Family crisis •  Unexpected expenses or bills You will need to meet the criteria to be eligible. Once eligibility is determined, vouchers are sent electronically to your energy retailer and used to credit your home electricity or gas account. EAPA voucher limits apply, and vouchers cannot be used to put your energy account into credit, on closed accounts, or if your account has already been paid. HOW TO APPLY You can easily apply for EAPA vouchers through two convenient methods:
  1. Online Application: Submit your application online to be assessed by a representative from the NSW Government.
  2. Call an Approved Non-Government EAPA Provider: Contact an approved non-government EAPA provider over the phone to apply for the vouchers.
